Fairy Day

Saturday, July 9, 2022 - NOON - 4 PM Fairy Day

Bring the whole family to the Daniel Boone Native Gardens on Saturday, July 9 from noon till 4pm.

This annual event features fairies Brucie Abella and Ayla the Dreams fairy for photo ops and family fun, and music by Connie Woolard of the Mountain Laurels, and Melony Winkleman and the Gemtones.

Check out fairy accessories from the Incredible Toy Company, and gifts from Faeriefoots’ Doors and Gifts, Always Afternoon and High Country Crystals.

Activities will be provided by the Watauga County Library, The Children’s Playhouse, The Children’s Council, and the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Native Plant Society.

Other activities include Fake a Face face painting, fairy hair, and intuitive guide Catherine Walters.

There will be food and treats: hot dogs by Big Brose Family BBQ, Ice Cream and Popcorn by Cookies ‘N’ Cream, Stick Boy Cookies, and LouLou’s Cotton Candy.

A portion of the vendors’ proceeds will be donated to the Gardens.

This year, we're charging a small admission of $2 per adult, but children 17 and under are admitted free. Also, adults wearing fairy- or elf-type garb are admitted free.

As always, donations are very much appreciated.

Hope to see you there!
