Roots in the Garden summer concert: The Adam Church Band

Join us for the fourth year of our free, family-friendly Roots in the Garden concert series!

The season kicks off Thursday, May 28, with a special ribbon-cutting and grand-opening celebration for the Gardens’ new stage. Boone’s own The Adam Church Band will headline, with Kyle Horton opening.

The grand opening is co-sponsored by CW Home and Premier Sotheby’s International Realty. Festivities will begin at 5 p.m., with music at 5:30 PM.

Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $5.

Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Picnics are welcome, and we will have food trucks as well. Please note, no dogs or glass containers in the Gardens. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating.

The series will continue with future concerts running 5:30-7:30 p.m.:

  • June 18: MAMA

  • July 16: Holler Choir

  • July 30: DaShawn Hickman & Sacred Steel

  • Aug. 20: TANASI

Each Roots concert will also feature a live visual artist creating an original work during the performance, to be auctioned at the end of the night to benefit the Gardens. 

All proceeds will support the Gardens’ mission to promote the benefits of native plants and healthy ecosystems, and provide a community green space in the heart of the High Country.
